(June) -
Your little Boo-Boo has moved my heart to sad tears, now when I know he
isn't with you anymore. It has been a great joy for many
people/surfers around the world to follow this little lovely creature's
life. I feel so sorry today, and I deeply share the sadness you feel
now when he has left you. Though I'm sure of one thing, Boo-Boo will
always be with you from the Other Side, every day of your life, because
you gave him such a loving and happy time on the earth. Me and many
other visitors of the Boo-Boo The Squirrel web site will never forget the
charming little great Boo-Boo. Thank You for having let me share him
with you. I certainly hope that you aren't intending to close the
outstanding Boo-Boo web site. I would like to visit this beautiful
and very special corner of the Internet from time to time also in the
future. I wish you all the best in life.
-
(John) - We were so
sorry to hear about Boo-Boo. He was the ultimate squirrel ambassador and
will be missed by all of us squirrel lovers.
-
(The Petsburgh Catsburgh Community
Center) - We were sorry to hear of Boo-Boo's passing.
-
(Jackie) - My heart felt condolences to
Boo-Boo's family. I only discovered Boo-Boo a few months ago and
have enjoyed the stories about him immensely. I hope that your
wonderful memories will sustain you during this time of sadness.
-
(Jamie) - My heart goes out to you.
Although I didn't personally know Boo-Boo I cried a few tears as I read his
memorial. There are animals that you are close to and love ... but then
sometimes ones comes along that means so much more. It is something you
can't really describe to the fullest extent in words. A special bond
between you and a curious little creature. No verbal language is needed
because in a look of the eyes and the subtly of the body you can know exactly
what is in each others thoughts. Boo-Boo couldn't have found a better
friend than you. You can tell from the lovely pictures you posted he was a
happy, loved, little guy. You both were luck to have stumbled upon each
other.
-
(Shelley) - I was so sorry to hear of
your loss. He was a beautiful squirrel and I know that he will be
sincerely missed. Your memorial page is just beautiful.
-
(Greg, Rachel, Ashley, Aimee, Sammy
& Rocket J. Squirrel) - We wanted to let you know how
deeply sorrowful we are to have heard about Boo-Boo's passing.
Although we never had the pleasure of meeting your little guy in person,
we are so grateful that he was sent into your life. Without Boo-Boo
having come into your life, we may never have known the joy of sharing our
lives with Sammy and Rocket. I feel blessed to have you as my
"technical support" and tears are streaming as I think about how
painful this must be for you. The website is a wonderful tribute to
a really amazing guy. I read the entire memorial as tears streamed
down my cheeks. I did a print and cut out on "Rainbow
Bridge". I was so deeply touched that when I phoned you, I just
could not speak. I called my mom and as I was telling her about
Boo-Boo and reading her Rainbow Bridge, my heart was sobbing. I
cannot, at this moment, imagine life without our two little guys and for
that, we have you and Boo-Boo to thank. Boo-Boo, we thank you (and
your mama) for all that you have given to us. See you on the other
side Boo-Boo. All our love and many thanks.
-
(Bill) - It was with
great sadness I heard of Boo-Boo's passing. My condolences to you
and everyone who loved Boo-Boo. I have lost squirrels in the course
of 7 years of rehabbing the little guys but Boo-Boo was a special little
guy. I would pass the newsletter on to friends so they could come to
appreciate the beauty of these special little guys and girls.
-
(Margo) - I
was very saddened to read about Boo-Boo's passing. I know how much
the little guy was a part of your life and family. We do know he had
a wonderful life and has only gone on to a better place. We know he
made this place a little nicer to live in and a large void has been
left. It always put a smile on my face when I looked at the little
one's picture by my desk.
-
(Gus) - I am so
sorry to hear about Boo-Boo. He was such a handsome squirrel.
I cried when I heard that he passed away. It was very sad.
-
(Irene) - Thank you
for sharing Boo-Boo's Memorial with me. Such a special little
guy. My heart aches for you and the loss to your family. He
will always be a treasure.
-
(PJ) - I
had a very hard time reading about Boo-Boo. He was such a fortunate
little soul to have been brought together with you and his passing must
still not be easy to bear. It's a bit of a miracle when certain
creatures come into our lives in this way and end up being our
"familiar" and such a beloved companion.
-
(Kathleen) - I am so very sorry about
Boo-Boo. I know how much he meant to you and your family and so many
others. The greatest thing of all is that he can now run and play
with all the other squirrels and he is whole again. He will be
waiting for you at the rainbow bridge and you will meet again. When
you are feeling sad think of all the good times you had with him and they
will pull you thru. I will keep you and your family and Boo-Boo in
my prayers.
-
(Silver)
- I am so sorry to hear this news. I lost one of my pets
recently so I understand your sorrow. My thoughts are with you.
-
(Renee) -
The memorial for Boo-Boo was so touching and my heart aches for you in
your loss. The joy a cherished and beloved pet can bring to our
lives is truly a gift from God. Boo-Boo was a gift to your
family, as you were, in turn, a beautiful gift to the little fellow
too. I am honored to have had the opportunity to meet the
precious, gentle little soul you named Boo-Boo, and to enjoy his
presence in person. The work you so diligently and lovingly
continue to perform, caring for orphaned squirrels, says so much about
your beautiful heart. It is an honor to know you as well and to
be entrusted with helping out just a little here and there when I
can. It has brought me great happiness and delight to help a few
of the babies, but none will ever be quite as precious to me as the
first, my Bebe. I think that it was finding her myself in such
need of help that really pulled my heart strings and I loved her
so.....I can only imagine how deeply that love developed over the many
many years you shared with Boo-Boo. That happiness you felt was
felt just as deeply by Boo-Boo too, of that I am sure. I know
you will always miss him. Love and may God bless you.
-
(Cathie) - I also lost a good
friend who died in 1995, but the hurt is still with me. I
cried
when I saw the pictures of Boo-Boo when he died, and know just how you feel.
-
(Marty) - I
can't begin to tell you how much it grieved me to hear of Boo-Boo's passing.
I have cried
non-stop at the news. Please know that it is with a very heavy heart
I send to you my heart felt sympathy at losing your baby. God bless you in the days to
come and comfort you with his strength.
-
(Cathy) - I
am really sorry about Boo-Boo dying. That is really sad. I
know you talked about the little guy all the time and took him to a lot of
places with you. I don't know if you remember, but I told you a long
time ago that my son's dad had three squirrels when he was growing up and
he never forgot them. It is wonderful how much you do with them (in
the rehab, etc.).
-
(Nancy) - Squeaky, Spot and the night
"squirl" and I all say "We are so sorry to hear about
Boo-Boo". We have tears at the moment and are saddened by the
news. Your memorial is very nice. 12 years is good, huh?
But still ... we are sorry and know this is not easy for you. What a
bummer. Hang in there, okay? Our thoughts are with you.
-
(Cindi) - Saying I
am sorry is never enough dear and I know that. My heart goes out to
you in your time of sorrow. I pray that our Heavenly Father will
give you the strength to get thru this ordeal. Boo-Boo is now at the
"Rainbow Bridge", playing with all the other squirrels that have
gone on before him. There will never be a replacement for Boo-Boo,
but there will be other "fuzzy butts" for you to love and care
for. God Bless you.
-
(Pa, Ma & Angel)
- So sorry for your recent loss of Boo-Boo. Its hard to say
goodbye to someone we love and loved us back. But remember how that
lost love one has enriched our life with unforgettable memories.
Love to you All!
-
(Pamala) - I have so
much loved your newsletters and the photo albums and the profiles of the
many little friends you have taken the time to share on your web
site. When I got the news about Boo-Boo, I broke down sobbing and
when I saw the lovely memorial site you did, well, I just kept on
sobbing. I, too, have had 2 little squirrels die in my hands and it
is a very sad moment. How wonderful that Boo-Boo had such a long and
happy life with people who loved him so much. Keep up the great work
you do.
-
(Susan) -
Oh so sorry. 12 years is quite a record lifetime for a squirrel ... what a
lucky baby!
-
(Donna) - I
am so very, very sorry to hear the news. I hurt for you and I do
know what you are feeling. How wonderful you had all those years
together. What a difference you made in each others lives. Boo-Boo lived such a long life, compared to
what he would have had if he had been in the wild. You should be so
proud of yourselves for saving his life and giving him such a wonderful
life. I loved Boo-Boo's letter and will keep it forever, it was so
touching! I cry as I write this, as I really do know your
pain. Bless you all and my love and sympathy to you all.
-
(Roxanne) - I was so sorry to hear about
Boo-Boo. What a great loss. It must leave a huge hole in you.
-
(Carol) - To everyone who took care of
Boo-Boo, I cried reading Boo-Boo's memorial. It's incredible that he
lived for 12 years! I can remember when our last squirrel died (she
was 8 yrs old), I felt so bad. She held on so long because she knew
so many people loved her. My heart goes out to you all. I'm
sure you will rescue many more squirrels, but they won't replace
Boo-Boo.
-
(Dr. Jack & Staff)
- You are in our thoughts as we share in your sadness and understand
the loss you are feeling.
-
(Martha & Gooby) - I
wanted to send my sincere sympathy at the passing of precious
Boo-Boo. I am praying for you that you can get through the coming
days and know that precious Boo-Boo is with the Lord because he loves and
cares for all animals because, after all, he created them for our
enjoyment. And Boo-Boo was quite an enjoyment, precious and
loving. He will be so missed and I have saved all my e-mails with
him in the pictures. I know that someday we will all be reunited
with our loved ones and that includes our pets. Love always!
-
(Lynne) - I
am so very sorry to learn about Boo-Boo's passing. I must tell you that I
cried as I read the news. It instantly brought back the same pain I felt
when I lost my beloved Buddy. Few people have the privilege of knowing the
unconditional love and joy that a squirrel can bring. I am truly sorry for
your loss and the emptiness it's caused. God bless you and Boo-Boo too!
-
(Bonnie) - I am so very sorry that you
lost Boo-Boo. I would not wish this sadness on anyone. I will
be thinking and praying for you.
-
(Befke) - I
am so sorry to learn of your loss of Boo-Boo. I am glad that I had a
chance to see him in person, while he was sleeping. You gave him a
wonderful life and a chance to make a difference for all little
creatures. I know that you are in for some hard days and nights, but
I also know that you will find him again in a better place where all of
our beloved companions wait to hear our voice again.
-
(Cathy) - I am very sorry
to hear about Boo-Boo as I know he meant a lot to you all.
-
(Estelle) - I just read
about Boo-Boo. I am truly sorry about your loss!!
-
(Kellie) - Words cannot
even begin to tell you how sorry I was to hear about Boo-Boo. I must
have cried for an hour myself. I can only say I felt Boo-Boo was a
part of my life too, even though I was never able to meet Boo-Boo. I
will always treasure my care package from him. You are in my
thoughts and prayers.
-
(Beth) - So sorry to here
about Boo-Boo. My daughter was very upset. We learned about
Boo-Boo not long ago. May God be with you.
-
(Charlene, Moe & Meleena)
- I was so sorry to hear about Boo-Boo. Your many e-mails and
website visits have made Boo-Boo part of my family as well. I lost
my 2 year old Musky a year ago due to carelessness on the part of a
veterinarian, but my home was blessed by Moe Brett 1 1/2 yrs. ago, and
Meleena a year ago this month. Though I am disheartened by Boo-Boo's
passing, I am elated to hear of the longevity of well-taken care of
squirrels. You will be in my prayers and thoughts, as I know this
loss will be a difficult, long term healing process. Those who care
for the animal-children of the earth hold a special place in the heart of
The Lord. There isn't a sparrow that falls from the sky that he
doesn't know and care about. God Bless you for caring for Boo-Boo
and sharing his story for 12 happy years.
-
(Bert) - I am so sorry
about Boo-Boo! Boo-Boo was truly special and had a great life,
thanks to you. You have a lot of years of precious memories.
-
(WebWizards) - We are sorry to hear
of the loss of your Squirrel Boo-Boo. We are sure, and I'm sure
everyone else would agree, that Boo-Boo lived a very happy life. We
think it is excellent that people like you take your time to look after
these animals, and even though you may feel sad as this time, at least you
know you can look back and smile about all the happy times you spent with
Boo-Boo and I expect it feels very rewarding. Our Condolences to you
again.
-
(Elsa & Don)
- Though we never had the pleasure of meeting Boo-Boo, we heard much
about him, and share your loss of this most loved part of your
family. There must be a place in squirrel heaven for such a
treasure.
-
(Ritchie) -
As we read about Boo-Boo, it truly broke our hearts. ... Both of us have so many squirrels that go through our lives, but
there is that "Special" one that steals our hearts completely
away. Never meet the Booster, but my heart loved him just the
same. We are praying for you and the awful sadness that you are
going through.
-
(Norma) -
Ah, my heart is broken too. I will pray for healing for your broken
hearts. Love in His name.
-
(Louise) - So sorry to hear about
Boo-Boo's passing, and being an animal lover myself, I know how attached
we are to our four legged friends. I hope Boo-Boo realized how good
he had it ... not every squirrel gets to sleep in bed with Mom & Dad
and be carried around in Mom's purse.
-
(Liz & Fred) - We
were sorry to receive your message about Boo-Boo. Your burial and
memorial were certainly very special for him. He gave you lots of
pleasure and we're sure he appreciated all your love and care.
-
(Laura & Thomas) - Sadly I
received the news from your wonderful web site that Boo-Boo is not longer
with you. I would like to send you a thank you though as your web
site saved at least the life of Elef, a baby squirrel that we found in our
own street. Remembering Boo-Boo's web site, I searched for information on
what to do and found exactly the link that I needed on how to save and
what to do with the little guy. After 3 weeks of bottle & body
warmth care, we could forward him to a wildlife rehabilitator where he
lives now - according to her, one of the healthiest squirrels that was
ever brought to her. During this short period our appreciation for
squirrels grew a lot more. We tried to find information from various
organizations that were unwilling or unable to help, such as the local
wildlife preservation office (sad but true) and we are glad that there are
people like you out there that share love for animals and their
knowledge. Thank you for your great work and inspiration.
-
(Angells) - So sorry
to hear about your little Boo-Boo, and your memorial to Boo-Boo, is
beautiful and hopefully will be a comfort to you. At least Boo-Boo
had a long life for a squirrel and a happy one with his family.
Cherish the memories.
-
(Kate, Daniel, Alex &
Olli) - My family sends our sincere condolences for the
loss of your dear friend and family member. I can only imagine the
empty spot in your lives losing this wonderful little companion of 12
years, although I admit I envy you the 12 years spent with your little
friend. My squirrel darling is now enjoying his freedom and although
I am very happy for him, I miss him dreadfully, so your pain must be that
much more. Hope you continue with the newsletter for all of us who
have had our lives changed and enriched by the love of a squirrel person.
-
(Amy) - I am
very sorry to hear of your loss. Squirrels are very special animals
and are often unappreciated. Thank you for taking such great care of
him and thank you for setting up, and running this great web page.
-
(Debbie & Karen)
- Sorry to hear of Boo-Boo's passing. We too have experienced
a great loss in our family recently, so Boo-Boo's memorial brought back
our still sad emotions. We met Boo-Boo when he was very young, but
we hadn't seen him in the last 6 or more years. We hope you will be
spiritually strong. Now that we know about the Rainbow Bridge, we
can look forward to seeing our friends again.
-
(Linda) - I
am so sorry to hear about Boo-Boo!! I am sure your heart is broken.
-
(Sue & Alex) - Alex T. Squirrel and
I would like to express our deepest sympathies to you and your
family. I can just imagine how it feels without your Boo-Boo. Alex is two years old, I
can only pray that I have him as long as you had Boo-Boo. You were
very blessed having Boo-Boo for so long.
